Code of Conduct

Purpose

At Real we are committed to providing a safe, productive and welcoming environment for all attendees (defined below) at the Portugal Retreat in May 2025. The Code has been drafted to guide the conduct of all Attendees at the Event in order to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a positive and immersive experience.

Expected Conduct:
Courtesy and respect: Your colleagues come from a diversity of cultures, religions and value systems. Please treat fellow attendees with courtesy and respect.

Professional conduct: This is a company-sponsored event and we expect that all attendees conduct themselves professionally and appropriately at all times.

Social media: The entire experience is designed to lend itself to many photo opportunities. Many of you will want to post your pictures on social media. However as this is a company-sponsored event, any pictures you post will reflect not just on yourself, but also your colleagues and the Company. Keep it clean :). We ask that any social media pictures are appropriate in nature, and please refrain from tagging other colleagues or attendees. Not everyone has the same level of comfort with being visible on social media.

Unacceptable Conduct:
Harassment or intimidation: Any form of inappropriate, improper or offensive behaviour towards others, including harassment or discrimination of any kind, that is hurtful or interferes with any other attendee’s experience or participation in the event, is unacceptable. These include harassment (sexual or otherwise), intimidation, and discriminatory or disrespectful language or behaviour.  

Alcohol or prohibited substances: Alcohol will be served and available during evening events. Excessive consumption of alcohol, such that it results in inappropriate behavior, or the consumption of prohibited substances, is unacceptable.

Reporting unacceptable behavior:
Should you witness inappropriate behavior that fails to meet the standard of the Company’s Code of Conduct, we ask that you report this promptly through one of the channels below:
    a) Reach out to your leadership or member of the Executive Team
    b) Reach out to the People team (hr@therealbrokerage.com)
    c) Reach out via the anonymous whistleblower hotline (https://integritycounts.ca/org/RealBroker or 1-866-921-6714)

Failure to meet this expected Code of Conduct:
Failure to meet the standards set forth in this Code of Conduct will result in disciplinary action  up to and including termination of employment.
