Please dress comfortably and appropriately, in something you’d feel good being photographed in. Some of our evening events will have designated themes that we encourage you to lean into, to make the night more special (see below).

* For the Welcome Reception & Dinner, the encouraged dress code is "Resort Chic".

* On Monday we will be hosting a dinner in Faro after a walking tour, so feel free to dress casual & comfortable this day.

* And lastly, our theme for our Final Dinner is "Met Gala Meets Brazilian Carnival” ! We encourage you to embrace (to the best of your ability) high-fashion glamour with over-the-top, playful flair inspired by Rio’s Carnival. For further inspiration, see some ideas below:  

Carnival Glamour (formal): Dramatic gowns and suits with sequins, feathers, and bold fabrics. Think couture headpieces, gold, silver & jewel-toned outfits, flowing capes & trains, opera gloves, and elegant masks with a Brazilian twist.

‍Carnival Playful (fun and light): Outrageous takes on formalwear—sequin tuxedos or gowns, neon ruffles, and Carmen Miranda-style fruit hats. Get creative with optical illusions, bold make-up, or playful royal costumes.

‍Colors & Material Inspiration: Bright and metallic—gold, emerald, hot pink, and turquoise—featuring sequins, shimmering fabrics, feathers, rhinestones, and beads.

This is the perfect opportunity to push the boundaries of elegance and eccentricity—think haute couture meets a Rio de Janeiro street parade. Whether ultra-glam or humorously flamboyant, the goal is simple: to turn heads! ‍

Yes! We will be handing out swag to all those attending the Real Retreat in person. We recommend leaving a little extra space in your luggage to accommodate.

Depending on your destination of origin, your travel dates may differ. While the official retreat dates are May 18-21, 2025, you may need to book a flight departing on May 17th to arrive on May 18 (eg. travellers from the United States & Canada). These parameters will be laid out in detail when it comes time to book flights.

You can extend your stay at your expense with manager approval. Additional nights of lodging, food, beverage, and additional transportation are to be covered by you.

If you are arriving during the retreat dates, transportation will be pre-arranged on your behalf. Once we have received your flight itinerary, you will automatically be booked on a transfer so long as your arrival and departure date coincide with the program dates of May 18 and May 21.

Guests arriving/departing outside of the retreat dates will be responsible for finding their own transportation to/from the hotel. This transportation cannot be expensed. Exceptions may be made under special circumstances.

All attendees will be flying into Faro International Airport (FAO) for the Real Retreat.

If you choose to fly into a different airport, you will be responsible for making alternative transportation arrangements to/from the hotel.

A valid passport is required for entry into Portugal for all global travellers. Please ensure that your passport is valid within 6+ months of your planned departure date and defer to your local passport office for official regulations on expiration dates.

Depending on your country of origin, travel path (connections), travel history, etc., you may need a Visa to enter Portugal. We encourage all travellers to consult Sherpa Travel, alongside the official government website of their country of origin and destination. It is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure they have all the necessary documents required for travel.

Seat selection can be done for free at the time of check-in. Please note guests will be responsible for the cost of pre-selecting seats prior to check-in if applicable.

For ease of travel, we encourage guests to bring a carry-on only, where possible. In the event you would like to check a bag, please note you will be responsible for any associated costs.

If you require medications, please bring the original packaging and a doctor's note for any over the counter medications in case you are asked to provide proof at the airport. ie. inhalers, allergy medications and epipens, etc.

Yes. Upon arrival at Pine Cliffs Resort, you will be required to provide a credit card to check in to cover any incidental charges charged to your room upon check out (example: spa charges, room service gratuity, etc.).

Yes - guests are more than welcome to make an appointment at the Spa during leisure time. Please note any costs must be paid directly by guests.

Real will be taking care of all tips for hotel staff, group meals, guides, and activities. If you wish to tip your room attendant, a wait staff, or other local crew you are more then welcome, but these will not be something you can expense.

Yes, there will be other guests at the hotel. If visiting common areas like the lobby, pool, spa, etc., you may come into contact with other guests outside of our group.

Real Retreat is a company event. We appreciate that many people will want to share this retreat experience with their significant others and/or family members.

Our intention with planning these retreats is to use the time to bond as a company, make new friendships, and build stronger relationships amongst our team. Only Real team members are to stay in the Real sponsored lodging.

Team members will have the choice of having their own room or sharing with a colleague. If you are open to sharing a room, please indicate in the registration.

The local currency in Portugal is the Euro (€). You’ll find Euro banknotes in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100. There are also 1 and 2 euro coins. Credit cards are also widely accepted.

Historically, the average temperatures for the month of May in the Algarve ranges between 15°C (59°F) and 22°C (72°F). The region starts to warm up significantly, but still benefits from refreshing coastal breezes.

For Portugal there are two associated plug types, C and F. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and type F has two round pins with two earth clips on the side (see images below). Portugal operates on 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.

Please ensure you have an adapter that suits these requirements. We recommend bringing your own with you.

The hotel has access to free wifi, however, if your phone has international roaming, you may also choose to use it during your time in Portugal. Otherwise, a local SIM card can be easily purchased at the airport upon arrival, or your phone may be compatible with an e-sim option.

Kindly note guests will not be reimbursed for roaming charges/SIM cards.

There are currently no Covid vaccination/testing requirements to enter Portugal.

Travellers are still encouraged to check if their airline requires any testing, vaccination, or other documents.

With COVID-19 entry requirements depending on multiple different factors (ex: Vaccination Status, Departure Location etc.) we recommend using a tool such as Sherpa to determine and stay up to date on your home countries current COVID-19 testing policies.

No testing is required by Real to attend the retreat.

We will have handful of Covid-19 self-tests available at the Moniker hospitality desk.

Makes are not currently required in Portugal.

Attendees are more than welcome to wear one should it make you feel more comfortable. Please feel free to swing by the Moniker Hospitality Desk to pick up a mask if desired.
